Job Description

Part Time weekend Veterinary Receptionist required for our Northampton Clinic. This position would be working 14 hours per week between the hours of 12 noon and 7pm on a Saturday and 8am and midnight on Sundays.

Role Summary
Our Receptionists are the face of Vets Now, ensuring our patients and pet owners receive excellent care in an emergency or critical situation. As part of a small team, you’ll handle initial telephone calls from clients, welcome them to the clinic ensure that they are seen quickly and efficiently, and on occasions assisting the veterinary staff. You’ll also manage the completion of client paperwork, take payments, maintain records and perform other administration tasks to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.

Working Pattern
This is a Part Time weekend position working 12 noon-7pm on a Saturday and either an 8-4 or 4-midnight shift on a Sunday, we would also require you to work a share of bank holidays and be able to cover evenings during the week for sickness and holidays.

Clinic Description
Vets Now Northolt provides Out Of Hours emergency cover to Member Practices across the local area. We are based within a Hospital practice, which provides two large surgical rooms with Orthopedic equipment, X- Ray, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, ECG and Blood Pressure Monitors. We also house or own Blood Products! Vets Now Northolt is run by a small,friendly and enthusiastic team who are very passionate about their work in emergency and critical care medicine, but also enjoy an excellent work-life balance due to the unique shift pattern at Vets Now.

Who we’re looking for
As well as a keen interest delivering excellent client care, you’ll be an experienced receptionist and an organised administrator, who is IT literate and a calm and confident communicator. Experience in a veterinary practice is preferred (especially in an animal care field) but not essential.
