Our speakers are renowned for their expertise, experience and engaging presentation skills, and they are dedicated to sharing their knowledge and insights with other veterinary professionals.
A vast range of topics related to ECC care will be covered, including anaesthesia, advanced surgical techniques, toxicology and more. You’ll learn about the latest research, real world case studies, and practical tips to help you provide the best possible care to your patients.
We listened to your feedback from last year’s event and have focused on bringing you the best ECC agenda to date via six insightful learning streams. We have brought back some firm favourites including our ‘advanced’ and ‘general’ streams, expanded ‘advanced nursing’ to cover both days and introduced a new stream, Catastrophic case conversations.
We are confident our 2024 programme offers something for everyone, no matter what stage of your ECC career you are at.
Julie Burnage spent decades working with and teaching ultrasound scanning and she’ll be sharing her knowledge with vets and vets nurses in joint sessions at ECC Congress.

Delegates can choose from over 70 hours of quality CPD and several new streams.
• General – this stream is suitable for GP vets dealing with emergencies, vets starting out in ECC or RVNs with some ECC experience.
• Foundations of ECC – this stream is suitable for new graduates interested in ECC, ACAs, student RVNs or RVNs just starting in ECC.
• Advanced – this stream is suitable for experienced ECC vets – those enrolled in or in possession of an ECC certificate, as well as vets pursuing specialist training programs. This stream is also highly suitable for RVNs pursuing a VTS(ECC).
• Abstracts and case reports – a stream is dedicated to presentations by our junior colleagues.
• Catastrophic case conversations – this new stream is suitable for vets and RVNs with ECC experience interested in reflecting upon more complicated cases and contributing to discussions. There is limited seating/room capacity available, so it’s first come, first served.
• Advanced nursing – this session is aimed at RVNs already working at a high level, especially those involved in referral work or studying for advanced qualifications.
• Limited enrolment – this stream consists of more practical small group sessions, aimed at enhancing delegates’ skillsets in the more technical aspects of ECC. These sessions would in general be suitable for both vets & RVNs.
