Customer Managers (Full Time)

Support Office, Scotland

As one of three Customer Managers, you will be our primary point of contact for Member Practices and the wider veterinary community. You’ll use your commercial acumen, sales/marketing experience and communication skills to promote our products and services to all our customers, relying on your natural enthusiasm and persistence as you do so

These 3 roles are based: Scotland / The North  -  Midlands  -  South England


Key Responsibilities
  • Management of a set geographical location to include:
                  - Current Member Practices 
                  - Non Member Practices
                  - Corporate groups
                  - Universities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your territory with Member Practices, disseminating information, feedback and questions to the relevant source:
                   - Support Office
                   - Regional Business Manager 
                   - Regional Clinical Manager 
                   - Regional Support Officer
  • Successfully deliver and launch both existing and new products and services to customer base.
  • Liaise and work with local Vets Now teams to ensure seamless delivery of communication and messaging to all customers.
  • Ensure all CRM and administrative tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Execute all marketing plans and promotions as directed by Head of Customer Management
  • Effectively manage calendar and territory to maximise customer facing opportunities
  • Manage individual territory budget
  • Work closely with Vets Now Hospital team in business development where required.
Key Projects
  • Develop territory plan and call cycle
  • Conduct market research for new products or services
Who we're looking for
This role will require a high level of commercial acumen and the ability to effectively communicate all Vets Now products and services to our customers. These roles will suit target driven individuals who are persistent, consistent, confident and enthusiastic.

The successful candidates will be educated to degree standard, with experience in:

  • Sales / marketing
  • Territory management
  • Budget management
  • Project management.
Commercial experience, ideally in the veterinary arena, is desirable. You must also have: 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Time management skills – ability to prioritise and manage own time
  • Influencing skills – ability to persuade others through knowledge and enthusiasm
  • Leadership skills – ability to manage own projects and request support as required
  • The confidence to represent the organisation externally [including presenting and chairing at various meetings] and to act decisively to make timely decisions
  • Excellent presentation skills - Competent with MS packages
  • UK driving licence
Working Pattern
These roles are home based, and will require a considerable amount of travel to visit and build relationships with new and existing customers. Therefore, you will need to be able to manage your own time and diary effectively to optimise the service you provide to our customers.
