Pedro completed his Veterinary Medicine degree in 2014 at the University of Porto in Portugal. His career as a vet started in Dublin, Ireland, where he worked briefly in shelter medicine and general practice. He then moved to the UK in 2016 to participate in a rotational internship program at a small animal referral hospital at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket, Suffolk, where he pursued his interest in Diagnostic Imaging and gained more clinical experience.
Pedro has since moved to the north of England and worked at a busy small animal hospital in Liverpool for several years where he had the opportunity to pursue his interest in Imaging with a focus on Ultrasonography. He currently holds a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and is working towards getting his full certification as an advanced veterinary practitioner in Diagnostic Imaging.
Pedro joined VetsNow Manchester in early 2021 and works as the clinician responsible for Ultrasonography while providing support in other areas of Diagnostic Imaging such as Radiography and Computed Tomography.
In his spare time, Pedro loves travelling, analogue photography and going to music concerts.
