Every drop matters

Launched in 2007 with support from Vets Now, Pet Blood Bank UK is the first and only charity of its kind in the UK.

It specialises in providing a canine blood bank service for all veterinary practitioners, giving you timely access to blood for use in emergencies and in providing critical care to dogs.

How to access blood

Standard and emergency access is available, and be assured that all products are supplied with full instructions, making them easy to administer and store. Details of the service and how to order can be found here.

Pet Blood Bank UK also supports the advancement of veterinary transfusion medicine and is committed to ongoing research initiatives. It also offers a nationwide education programme.

10 years of Pet Blood Bank UK

As our charity partner, we are excited to be helping Pet Blood Bank UK celebrate its 10th birthday this year. We will be working with the charity to support its 10,000th donor drive, and to raise awareness of canine transfusion medicine.

We’ll also be working together on a range of educational events, a dedicated CPD programme, a celebration of donors and a drive to secure a further 1000 new donors.
