1. ‘Post-surgical complications’ are defined as those presented to us within six calendar months of the original surgery. In fact, almost all surgical complications appear within a few weeks of surgery.
  2. All post-surgical complications must be presented, without undue delay, to Vets Now Manchester. This warranty will cover only those treatments performed at Vets Now Manchester.
  3. We can accept no responsibility for treatment performed, or costs incurred, at other veterinary practices or elsewhere. In case of emergency consult Vets Now Manchester.
  4. The responsibility for transporting your pet to and from our hospital, including costs incurred, remains the owners’.
  5. This warranty is activated with settlement of the invoice (in accordance with our normal terms) for the original surgical procedure and does not impair your statutory rights.
  6. Where an insurance shortfall occurs and the outstanding debt has not been paid the warranty is not valid and complications will not be covered.
  7. We know that you will be doing everything to speed your pet’s recovery, and while we hope you will comply diligently with the advice we have given about post-surgical exercise restrictions, we appreciate that accidents occasionally happen, especially when your back is turned! Vets Now Manchester will focus will be on sorting the problem out, and not on apportioning blame. If you are at all concerned about how your pet is progressing after surgery, give us a call as soon as you are able.
  8. We appreciate that your time is valuable and that it can be difficult to schedule follow ups after surgery, so we strive to keep these to the minimum. However, these appointments are important, even when (as is usually the case) your pet seems to be doing well, and we do expect your pet to attend follow-up examinations, X-rays etc.
  9. While we always provide our best estimate of prognosis, be aware that a failure to achieve an expected, or hoped-for outcome is not necessarily indicative of a complication.
