Paul Aldridge awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) for Meritorious Contributions to Clinical Practice.
We’re delighted to share some fantastic news from the team at Vets Now Referrals Manchester. Paul Aldridge, Referral Surgeon, Clinical Board Member at IVC Evidensia Referrals, and highly respected CPD speaker, has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) for Meritorious Contributions to Clinical Practice.
This prestigious recognition honours those who have made an outstanding impact on clinical practice, professional leadership, and the advancement of veterinary knowledge. Paul’s Fellowship acknowledges his exceptional dedication to postgraduate education, through both teaching and published work; a true testament to his influence in the profession.
He joins a record cohort of 51 new Fellows admitted by the RCVS this year (the largest intake to date) showcasing the incredible talent and commitment found across the veterinary sector.
Fittingly, the announcement comes in the same year that marks 30 years since Paul graduated from the University of Liverpool and became a Member of the RCVS (MRCVS). It’s a milestone that highlights a career defined by clinical excellence, continuous learning, and a deep commitment to mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals.

Reflecting on the honour, Paul shared:
“The profession has changed dramatically over the past three decades. The level of care we now provide makes mentorship and practical education more important than ever.”
We’d also like to thank colleagues John Williams, Aoife Reid, and Gayle Hallowell FRCVS for their valued support throughout Paul’s Fellowship application process.
Paul will begin a busy autumn of teaching engagements, including sessions at the Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society (VECCS) in San Diego, CENTRAL CPD, Improve Veterinary Education, and the University of Central Lancashire School of Veterinary Medicine.
The 2025 RCVS Fellows will be formally admitted during Fellowship Day in Westminster on 27 November 2025, a well-deserved moment of recognition for Paul and his peers.
Congratulations, Paul, on this remarkable achievement!
