Referring a case to Vets Now is straightforward, whether it's an emergency requiring immediate attention or a routine referral for a specific discipline.

You decide a referral is required, the process will differ depending on the nature of the case; Urgent (needs to be seen within 48 hours) or routine (discipline specific within 48 hours).

Referral letter
For either type of referral, you will promptly receive a referral letter from the relevant referral clinician.

Our out-of-hours team is here to provide an emergency service at nights, weekends and bank holidays and also to ensure continuity of care for any inpatients that have been seen by our referral team.
Our focus is to offer your practice access to our team as an extension of your own practice. We are here to support your team.
We take stable referrals and also see emergency and critical care cases. You can refer cases such as cruciate ligament surgery, urinary incontinence or hip dysplasia. Alternatively, if you have a daytime emergency such as an RTA or a patient requiring critical care for excessive vomiting and diarrhoea, we’re on hand to take an emergency referral.
