Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, serving over 1700 veterinary practices through 60 plus dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals.
Understanding your key role
Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:
- First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic
- Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care
- Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity
Key requirements
- RCVS registered for a minimum of six months
- Motivated to maintain high clinic standards
- Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets
- Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous
Working pattern
- Week 1: Friday: 19:00-09:00; Sunday: 08:30-19:30
- Week 2: Off
- Week 3: Monday and Tuesday: 19:00-09:00; Saturday: 12:00-19:30; Sunday: 08:30-19:30
- Week 4: Off
