Veterinary Nurse – Liverpool

Up to £35,000 per annum DOE plus benefits

Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, serving over 1700 veterinary practices through 60 plus dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

  • First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic
  • Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care
  • Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity

Key requirements

  • RCVS registered for a minimum of six months
  • Motivated to maintain high clinic standards
  • Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets
  • Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous

Working pattern

This is a full-time role, consisting of working an average of 40 hours per week and one in two weekends. The shift times are:

  • Monday-Sunday night shift: 19:00-09:00
  • Saturday day shift: 12:00-19:00
  • Sunday day shift: 08:00-19:00

Plus a fair share of bank holidays.
