Full Time Roving Veterinary Nurse – Liverpool, Wrexham, and Colwyn Bay

Up to £38,000 DOE plus benefits

Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, serving over 1700 veterinary practices through 60 plus dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals.

As a Roving Veterinary Nurse you will work across several Vets Now clinics, these are Liverpool, Wrexham, and Colwyn Bay.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

  • First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
  • Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
  • Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Key requirements

  • RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
  • Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
  • Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
  • Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Working pattern

A full-time role with Vets Now comprises of 40 hours per week, working a mixture of weeknights and 1:2 weekends. Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.

This is a roving position covering shifts at Liverpool, Wrexham, and Colwyn Bay.
