Business Development Assistant
Permanent, Home-based with some travel
Full Time – 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday 9am-5pm (can be flexible)
Salary: Up to £32,000 DOE
Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency veterinary care. We are continuing to expand our network of Out-of-Hours (OOH) clinics and are looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Development Assistant to support our Partnerships and Business Development function.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our clinic network, supporting new openings, relocations, and the development of new business opportunities across the UK.
About the Role
As our Business Development Assistant, you will work closely with the Head of Partnerships and Business Development to:
- Maintain and support a strong pipeline of new OOH clinic opportunities.
- Provide accurate mapping, data analysis and competition insight to inform business decisions.
- Support the opening of new clinics, including administrative tasks and engagement with Partner Practices.
- Assist with relocations of existing clinics, ensuring operational needs are met.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure information is shared effectively.
- Produce monthly reports and maintain key trackers to keep stakeholders updated on progress and priorities.
- Explore new business models, caseload viability and opportunities for growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, thrives on organisation and accuracy, and is motivated by seeing projects move from concept to delivery.
What We’re Looking For
Relevant Experience
- Confident using Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to interpret P&L information.
- Experience managing multiple tasks at pace with accuracy.
- Comfortable with repetitive desk-based tasks and prioritising workload based on commercial need.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Calm under pressure, flexible, and able to use initiative.
- Ownership of delegated tasks and commitment to meeting deadlines.
