12 Months Fixed-Term Contract

Up to £70,000 pro rata DOE plus benefits

Vets Now Glasgow

As the UK’s leading pet emergency service our hospitals are unique to our business structure as they are operational 24/7. We are looking for a Vet Surgeon to join our Glasgow hospital, on a 12 months fixed-term contract (6 months could also be considered).

This role includes working a fair share of weekdays/nights and weekend days/nights – working a blend of night shifts, backshifts and day shifts. There are a variety of shift times available in this role, typically including:

  • Night shifts – 6:30pm-7:30am or 7:30pm-7:30am
  • Weekday shifts – 6:45am-4:45pm
  • Backshifts – 4pm-3am
  • Weekend day shifts – 7am-7pm

This part-time Vet Surgeon role in our Glasgow hospital is based on an average 36-hour week. Work/life balance is our priority, so we could possibly consider less hours in this role.

One team, one goal

Our ethos is simple – to give people and their pets the care and support they deserve at the time they need it most and our Vet Surgeons are vital to delivering this ethos. In our Glasgow hospital you will be mentored by your Lead Vet and will usually be supported by other Vet Surgeons, Vet Nurses, Animal Care Assistants and all-night Receptionists.

A work life fulfilled

Working in an emergency 24/7 setting, you’ll see a stimulating and varied caseload and you’ll make an immediate difference to the pets you treat on every shift.
