Full-time OOHs Veterinary Nurse – Glasgow hospital

Up to £34,281 DOE + 10% shift allowance plus benefits

Vets Now are the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, Due to continued growth in our state-of-the-art 24/7 hospital, we are looking to add to our current established team.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

  • First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic
  • Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care
  • Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity

Key requirements

  • RCVS registered for a minimum of six months
  • Motivated to maintain high clinic standards
  • Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets
  • Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous

Shift pattern

Working a pattern of five days on and five days off. The shifts times will vary between 19:00-06:00, 20:00-07:00 and 21:00-08:00
