About the Job

Weekend Vet Surgeon

Up to £30ph DOE plus benefits

A work life less ordinary begins now

Vets Now Gillingham is a busy clinic, particularly at the weekend, and we’re looking for a Vet to provide additional support to the team at the time when it’s needed most. Whether you’re looking to work one Saturday or Sunday a month or something more comprehensive, we can provide a regular and stable income alongside a full package of benefits.

Build your ECC career around your lifestyle

A Vet Surgeon in Gillingham will find challenging cases and situations far removed from day practice – perfect for learning and career development. This vacancy presents an ideal opportunity for a Vet looking to develop both emergency medicine and surgery skills without committing to a full time role. Saturday and Sunday shifts vary in length and can start early in the morning, mid-afternoon or later in the evening. Finish times are no later than midnight, and there’s the option of picking up a short evening shift on a Wednesday if you wanted to.

Out of hours doesn’t necessarily mean out of reach

The Gillingham team is complimented by a strong nursing team and the Senior Vet will mentor, support and offer guidance when dealing with surgeries. The wider network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. Whether it’s sharing best practice or seeking advice on a particularly complex case, you will never be alone at Vets Now.
