About the Job
Weekend Vet Nurse
Up to £15ph plus benefits
Make a difference and save lives daily
We are at the forefront of emergency and critical care, making a real difference and saving the lives of pets each and every day. Working as an emergency Vet Nurse will expose you to a diverse range of cases that you simply won’t see in general practice. You can be the Vet Nurse you trained to be.
People are our core.
Working weekends offers a solution that overcomes the usual challenges of being an out-of-hours Vet Nurse. Our Vet Nurses can balance a career with caring for a family, studying for an ECC certification or training for a marathon! We are a special breed at Vets Now and our people will always decide how our company develops and what path we take.
We are looking for an Vet nurse who can commit to every second weekend. This will be a mixture of day shifts and some back shifts, as well as a fair share of bank holidays.
Whats in it for you?
Recognising hard work is really important to us. Our employees are our greatest asset which is why we offer a first class benefits and rewards package that includes:
- 6.6 weeks pro rata annual leave
- Your birthday as a paid day off
- Private medical insurance
- Comprehensive CPD allowance
- Pension contributions
- Professional membership fees
- 50% discounted staff pet care
- Death in service of two times annual salary
- Membership of employee wellbeing programme
- Company sick, maternity, paternity and adoption pay schemes
Our Barton-Le-Clay clinic is a busy practice with excellent facilities. We are looking for a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse to relish the diverse caseload that ECC naturally brings, especially during busy weekends.
If you’re looking for routine operations and daytime hours, this isn’t the job for you.
