Rotating internships

Our Small Animal Rotating Internships are tailored for qualified veterinary surgeons, whether you recently graduated or are looking for more exposure to a referral setting with the goal of furthering your education, this program will give you a solid foundation and understanding of the many services in our hospitals. This 13-month program offers exposure to various disciplines and can serve as a steppingstone towards discipline-specific specialist training.

Upon completion, candidates have the option to continue their journey with us in one of our 58 out-of-hours clinics or three 24/7 emergency and specialty hospitals across the UK. Or even returning to general practice with more confidence and a wider skill set than before.

Interns will rotate through multiple referral services, participate in externships, and actively contribute to out-of-hours emergency care. Teaching is a vital component, with a diverse induction period and weekly didactic seminars enhancing the clinical experience. Funded continuous professional development opportunities you are also available.

Discipline-specific internships

Our Discipline Specific Internships are designed for qualified vets eager to expand their expertise in a chosen area. With a focus on Internal Medicine (including Medical Oncology), General Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging or Emergency and Critical Care, these 12-month programs offer in-depth training and research opportunities. Collaborate with referral teams, participate in subject-focused tutorials, and gain access to our rich in-house teaching resources.

Preferably candidates would have completed a rotating internship prior to their start date but this is not essential.
