A work life extraordinary with Vets Now
Vets Now have the largest emergency and critical care caseload in Europe so you will see an exciting and diverse range of cases. You will have the opportunity to work on both a private and charity caseload. This role involves 1:2 weekends, weekday nights and a share bank holidays. Working an average of 40 hours per week, the rota pattern is designed to maximise work / life balance. In addition, we can also offer a place on our AdvantEdge programme to cement your ECC knowledge.
AdvantEdge – the next step in your career
At Vets Now we care about the development of our people and that’s why we have introduced AdvantEdge, a two week ECC programme for Vets who possess at least two years post qualification experience in either small animal or mixed practice. If you are confident with your medical skills and abdominal surgery on a sole charge basis, AdvantEdge is the perfect gateway to a successful career in ECC.
75 hours of free CPD designed by veterinary experts
The AdvantEdge programme contains a minimum of 75 hours of free CPD designed for Vets by Vets. The lectures and practical sessions are delivered by Advanced Practitioners and experienced emergency clinicians at our training facility in Dunfermline. Topics covered include blood gas analysis, managing shock and neurological emergencies as well as practical sessions on CPR and ultrasound. The programme culminates in a cadaver surgery practical followed by six mentored shifts in clinic.
