About the Job

Vet Surgeon

Up to £65,000 DOE plus benefits

Begin a work life extraordinary with Vets Now Hemel Hempstead

Working as an emergency Vet can be challenging. The caseload is diverse and the hours can be unsociable. Yet with unpredictability comes opportunity. Working as an emergency Vet Surgeon will expose you to a diverse range of cases that you simply won’t see in general practice, and you will be continually challenged medically and surgically.

No more than three nights in a row

We recognise a work/life balance is of the upmost importance and this opportunity provides great scope for clinical excellence, career development and substantial periods of rest. As expected with an out of hours provider, the rota pattern will involve 1 in 2 weekends, a mix of weekday nights, a fair share of bank holidays and no more than three nights in a row. We will also consider part time hours for the right candidate.

Out of hours doesn’t mean out of reach

With a Vet Surgeon role at Vets Now, you can nurture your skills with coaching from our UK network of veterinary experts, in-house training and mentoring. In clinic, you will be fully supported by an experienced nursing team. Whether it’s sharing best practice or seeking advice on a particularly complex case, you will never be alone at Vets Now.
