A work life extraordinary at Vets Now Colchester
Working as an emergency Vet Surgeon will expose you to a diverse range of cases that you simply won’t see in general practice. Although confidence with sole charge is a must, we have a strong support network, in and out of clinic, and there’s always somewhere to seek advice. This role includes an average 40 hour working week, 1:2 weekends and a fair share of weekday nights and bank holidays. We will consider part time hours for the right candidate.
Take control of your own career development
We take pride and integrity in the work that we do and that’s why we are committed to investing in the career progression of our people. From accredited ECC certification support to clinical research studies we will support you in taking control of your own career development. In Colchester, you will be fully supported by an expert nursing team and coached by our exceptional Senior Vet who will oversee your professional career development.
Provide emergency care at a time when it’s needed most
By sharing the rota with two other full time Vets, you can have the best of both worlds – working sole charge at times but being part of an established bigger team when busier. Weekends and bank holidays can be our busiest times and Colchester is staffed with additional vets, nurses and Animal Care Assistants on these days to provide extra support when it’s needed most.
