Vets Now Pet of the Year

The terms set out below apply to “Pet of the Year 2024” competition conducted by Vets Now Emergency Ltd.

The following definitions shall apply to these terms and conditions: “participants”, “entrants”, “you”, “your” and “yours” are references to you, the person or entity that has entered the survey; “Vets Now”, “we”, “us” and “our” are references to Vets Now Emergency Limited of Penguin House, Castle Riggs, Dunfermline KY11 8SG registered in Scotland with registration number SC218632.

Entry into the Competition will be deemed as an acceptance of these terms and conditions.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

To qualify for entry participants must be over 18 years of age before the competition closing date.

Entry is limited to one per pet.

Entries must be made via the nomination form. To enter, participants must upload to the nomination form:

An image of their pet

Reasons why their pet is special to them and anything the pet has experienced that makes them ‘Pet of the Year’

The Competition period begins on 11th April 2024 and closes at 23:59 on 30th April 2024. Entries must be received by 23:59 on the 30th April 2024 to qualify.

Employees and relatives of employees of Vets Now Emergency Limited ARE NOT permitted to enter their pet into the draw.

Employees and relatives of employees of Vets Now Emergency Limited ARE permitted to enter a Vets Now patient or pet they know into the draw.

Three participants, on submitting their entries, will be selected as first place and two runner-up places based on suitability of quality of story at the discretion of the Vets Now Marketing team.

There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter the competition. Any purchase made will not increase the chance of winning.

The Competition must be entered in the Entrant’s own name, providing accurate details of the pet owner.

No bulk, software-generated, automatic, or third-party entries shall be accepted. If a false name is used, that Entry will be disqualified.

Each entrant is limited to one entry per pet but more than one per practice is eligible. If more than one Entry per Entrant is received, or if any Entrant attempts to submit more than one Entry by using the same, multiple or different names, email addresses or social media accounts, all such Entries may be deemed void, and that Entrant may be disqualified from the Competition.

Only entries that have been completed in full will be entered into the competition. Vets Now Emergency Ltd. does not accept any responsibility for late, lost, delayed, or damaged entries and cannot be held responsible for any inability to submit entries as a result of computer service, systems and/or server failure, error, interruption, defect or delay or any other technical malfunction.

CHARITY DONATION

For each valid nomination Vets Now will donate £1 to a charity of our choice.

A valid entry is a completed entry, consisting of your name, your pets name, your contact details and satisfactory quality of story. Whether or not a nomination is considered valid will be at the discretion of the Vets Now Marketing team.

Vets Now will match nominations with a £1 donation, up to the value of £1,000.

There will be no donation necessary to enter the competition. Any donation made will not increase the chance of winning.

DATA CAPTURE

The data entered on the nomination form will be used to determine our winners.

Once the participant has answered all questions and the nomination form is complete, they will be entered into the competition.

Personally identifiable data is collected as part of the competition, this data will be used during our judging process. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

Your name and email address will be used to notify you if you are a winner.

If you are a winner, you agree to the use of your/your pets name and image in any publicity material. Your data will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

You are providing your information to the Vets Now Ltd and not to any other third party, including but not limited to sponsors.

PRIZES

Three participants, on submitting their nomination form, will be selected to win prizes.

The First Place Winner will win: a Vets Now Pet of the Year 2024 trophy, a £500 voucher and bundle of pet treats.

The two runner-up winners will each win: a Vets Now Pet of the Year 2024 runners-up trophy, a £50 voucher and bundle of pet treats.

The Prize is non-transferable, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. If the Prize is no longer available due to circumstances beyond Vets Now’s control, a Prize of equal or greater value will be provided.

The Prize will be delivered to the winners by post following email acknowledgement from Vets Now and confirmation of receipt of this email from the winners.

CONTACTING THE WINNER

Vets Now Emergency Ltd. will make reasonable efforts to notify the Competition Winners via email.

Vets Now Emergency Ltd. is not responsible for contact details recorded incorrectly. If having made those efforts it is not possible to contact the Winners, including if Vets Now Emergency Ltd. does not receive a response from the Winner, within 7 days of first trying, Vets Now Emergency Ltd. reserves the right to offer the Winner’s Prize to the next valid Entrant.  Any reselection will be undertaken in accordance with these T&Cs.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

Vets Now reserve the right to (i) cancel this Competition, (ii) cancel or refuse any individual’s entry and (iii) amend these terms and conditions (and will use reasonable endeavours to notify changes to entrants and potential entrants).

Vets Now’s decision in all matters will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into

By submitting an entry to Vets Now you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions.

The decision of Vets Now Emergency Ltd shall be conclusive and binding on all parties in relation to the Competition.

The Prize must be taken as stated and unless otherwise specified cannot be deferred. There will be no cash or other alternative offered. Once a Prize has been allocated it cannot be transferred.

This Competition is not administered by any third party, and you are providing your information to Vets Now Emergency Ltd. and not to external organisations.  The information you provide will only be used for the purposes of this survey, unless you opt-in to receiving future marketing communications by email.  You can unsubscribe from future email correspondence at any time.

Your details will be used in relation to the administration of this Competition and the delivery of the Prize.

These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of Scotland. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
