£17ph plus £250 completion bonus

Vets Now are the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, providing a trusted veterinary service within our out-of-hours clinics. Our Animal Care Assistants support our busy nursing teams over Christmas and New Year as our emergency hospital is particularly busy requiring additional support for emergency cases. This is a great opportunity to earn an additional income of over £1000 for seven shifts over the Festive period.

Rota pattern

Monday 22nd December – Induction shift from 08:00 to 17:00

Thursday 25th December from 10:00 to 20:00

Friday 26th December from 10:00 to 20:00

Saturday 27th December from 10:00 to 20:00

Sunday 28th December from 10:00 to 20:00

Roles and responsibilities:

As an Animal Care Assistant at Vets Now, you will play a crucial role in assisting our clinical teams with providing a comfortable and stress-free in-patient environment whilst negotiating busy shifts in an emergency hospital. Your responsibilities will include:

Working under the guidance of Vet Nurses and Vet Surgeons.
Handling patients for basic procedures and assisting with running diagnostic tests.
Assisting in setting up and clearing down theatres for surgical procedures.
Ensuring all in-patients have their basic husbandry needs attended to

You will be:

Resilient, caring and empathetic
Detail orientated with the ability to work well under pressure
Articulate with the ability to prioritise and multitask
Passionate about animal care with the drive to work in a busy emergency vet clinic over the Christmas and New Year period

*To qualify for the £250 completion bonus, you must complete all five shifts
