Why Vets Now:

Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency veterinary care, with a network of clinics and hospitals delivering expert treatment when pets and their owners need it most. Our mission is to create a culture where clinical excellence and compassionate care go hand in hand — and that starts with how we communicate with our people.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Communications Executive to join our team. You’ll play a key role in engaging one of our most important and hardest to reach audiences: our clinicians. You’ll be driven to understand what matters to them and will create thoughtful, targeted communications that inspire connection and build pride in our purpose.

This is a highly collaborative role that sits at the heart of our business, with the opportunity to shape how we celebrate our people, share our stories, and attract new talent. Responsibilities will include:

Clinician Engagement

  • Seek innovative ways to improve communication and engagement with our clinical teams across the UK.
  • Build relationships with Area Clinic Managers and clinical leaders to understand their needs and insights.
  • Ensure content is relevant, accessible, and aligned with the wider communications strategy.

Content Development

  • Create and manage compelling employer brand case studies that showcase life at Vets Now.
  • Develop pet owner case studies that reflect the impact of our care and the stories behind our service.
  • Produce engaging content for our monthly e-newsletter and repurpose across social media, intranet, and internal comms channels. You will also be key in developing tailored engaging content for our different internal audiences.
  • Maintain and evolve intranet content to keep it fresh, relevant, and user-friendly.

Events & Campaigns

  • Support the planning and delivery of CPD webinars aimed at attracting new talent and supporting the professional development of our existing teams.
  • Lead the development and delivery of our Vets Now Congress stand, ensuring it reflects our brand, culture, and clinical excellence.
  • Coordinate and execute our Values nomination plan, engaging teams throughout the year and culminating in our annual Make a Difference Awards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in internal communications, employer branding, or healthcare comms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for storytelling.
  • Proficiency in digital content creation across email, intranet, and social platforms.
  • Experience with tools like Mailchimp/Force24 and Canva is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
  • Creative, curious, and audience-focused mindset.

What You’ll Bring

  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding clinical audiences.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to working across departments.
  • A high level of attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
  • Confidence and professionalism in representing the Communications team across the business.
