Davinia Arnott

European and RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Surgery

Davinia graduated from The University of Glasgow in 2001. She worked for two years as a mixed practitioner and then as a small animal clinician, completing an internship in veterinary critical care and oncology in 2004.

After gaining the Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2005, Davinia became the senior clinical scholar in small animal surgery at The University of Glasgow. Davinia completed her three year ECVS residency at The University of Glasgow in 2008. She became a European and Royal college specialist in small animal surgery having gained her European Diploma in Small Animal Surgery in 2010.

Davinia has been with Vets Now 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Hospital, Glasgow since 2011. She enjoys all aspects of surgery with particular interests in:
• feline orthopaedics
• arthroscopy
• traumatology including maxillofacial surgery
• elbow dysplasia
• cruciate disease
• reconstructive surgery

She is actively involved in internship training and in the provision of CPD to local vets and the international veterinary community.

In 2019, Davinia became director of the hospital’s first surgery residency programme.
