When minutes matter, knowing what to do can make all the difference
Pet emergencies can happen suddenly and often when least expected, yet many owners feel unprepared when faced with a seriously ill or injured pet. Research commissioned by Vets Now found that some owners delay seeking veterinary advice during an emergency, while many are unsure where their nearest emergency vet is located or how to recognise less obvious signs of a life-threatening condition.*
To help pet owners feel more confident and prepared, Vets Now is launching its first-ever Pet Emergency Week. This nationwide awareness campaign will provide practical advice, real-world guidance and free educational events designed to help owners recognise emergencies and act quickly. After 25 years spent caring for pets in emergencies, we know that increasing awareness and preparedness can make a real difference.
