It specialises in providing a blood bank service for all veterinary practitioners, giving you quick and easy access to blood for use in emergencies and in providing critical care to pets.
How to access blood
Blood is available 24/7 for all vets across the UK. You can order online or by calling 01509 232 222 and products can be dispatched on a same-day or overnight delivery, ensuring you always get the blood you need when you need it. All products are supplied with full instructions, making them easy to administer and store.
Pet Blood Bank also has extensive free support resources available on their website to support your transfusion cases, from step-by-step guides to webinars with leading veterinary experts.

This lifesaving blood is available thanks to the generous pet owners who bring their dogs along to donate at a Pet Blood Bank session. Your help is needed to ensure this blood is always available. Spreading the word among your clients with large, healthy dogs and cats can make a big difference.
Dog donors must be between 1 and 8 years old, weigh over 25kg, and be fit, healthy, and confident.
Cat donors must be between 1 and 8 years old, weigh over 4.5kg, and be fit, healthy, and happy being handled.
