Step 01

Referral Initiation

You decide a referral is required, the process will differ depending on the nature of the case; Urgent (needs to be seen within 48 hours) or routine (discipline specific within 48 hours)

Step 02

Emergency Referrals

Please phone the hospital on 0141 237 7676 to speak to one of our clinical team.

  • We will then give an initial plan and estimate
  • Depending on the case, we’ll agree the treatment plan, client communication and next steps.
Step 02

Referral Initiation

  • Complete a referral form here
  • We aim to contact all clients within 24 hours of receiving this document
  • We will then liaise with the client to arrange an appointment and send them details of everything they need to know for their appointment.

For either type of referral, you will promptly receive a referral letter from the relevant referral clinician.

Glasgow's 24/7 emergency and specialty referral hospital

Our out-of-hours team is here to provide an emergency service at nights, weekends and bank holidays and also to ensure continuity of care for any inpatients that have been seen by our referral team.

Our focus is to offer your practice access to our team as an extension of your own practice. We are here to support your team.

We take stable referrals and also see emergency and critical care cases. You can refer cases such as cruciate ligament surgery, urinary incontinence or hip dysplasia. Alternatively, if you have a daytime emergency such as an RTA or a patient requiring critical care for excessive vomiting and diarrhoea, we’re on hand to take an emergency referral.
