Part Time Veterinary Surgeon

Up to £80,000 DOE pro rata plus benefits

Now for emergency and critical care at Vets Now Preston

At Vets Now Preston, our committed team of vet surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, animal care assistants and receptionists work hard through the nights, weekends, and bank holidays to ensure sick and injured pets get the very best care when daytime vets are closed.

We’re looking for a Vet Surgeon to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis, providing emergency and critical care when it’s needed the most.

Now for a permanent role that works around you

This role offers an average of 24 hours per week, working across weekday nights, weekend days on a 1:2 rotation, as well as backshifts and a share of bank holidays. You’ll never work more than three nights in a row. Shifts are as follows:

• Nights 1900-0830
• Backs 1900-0100
• Saturday day 1200-1930
• Sunday day 0830-1930

Whether you’re looking for a more sustainable working pattern, greater balance alongside life outside work, or the opportunity to build a long-term career in ECC without committing to full-time hours, this role could offer the flexibility you’re looking for.

Now for enhanced rewards and benefits

Our exceptional benefits package includes, but is not limited to:

• £1,500 CPD allowance plus 35 paid hours pro rata
• Enhanced company sick, maternity, paternity and adoption pay schemes
• Private medical insurance
• Seven weeks pro rata annual leave
• Up to 50% discounted staff pet care
• Professional membership fees
• Access to our AdvantEdge programme

Now for development and on-going coaching

Working in an emergency setting will sharpen and develop your veterinary skills. We invest heavily in the continuous professional development of all our people, and as a Vet Surgeon, you’ll have access to professional qualifications, progression and on-going coaching from Senior Vet Sarah.
