Oncology

Our oncology service is equipped to provide state-of the-art care when a diagnosis of neoplasia is made. Neoplasia is the term for various types of abnormal growths – both cancerous and non-cancerous. We can help with diagnosis and treatment, chemotherapy and palliative care.

Our expertise allows us to manage patients with :
• Lymphoma (all forms)
• Mast cell tumour (cutaneous, intradermal and visceral in dogs and cats)
• Sarcomas (soft tissue sercoma, haemangiosarcoma, histiocytic sarcoma, etc.)

Internal medicine

Our internal medicine service prides itself on seeing complex and challenging cases. The team works closely with our soft tissue and ECC teams, and utilise diagnostic imaging to provide a
complete service for presenting problems including:

• Chronic cough
• Chronic nasal disease
• Upper and lower GIT conditions
• Urinary investigations

We have access to the latest equipment including flexible endoscopy (for all endoscopic procedures including cystoscopy), fluoroscopy (for high detail swallow studies), balloon dilation (for the treatment
of oesophageal strictures), and minimally invasive sinonasal aspergillosis treatment plans.

Diagnostic imaging

We offer advanced abdominal ultrasonography including the diagnosis of various disorders (including portosystemic shunts), and performing ultrasound guided diagnostic
tests such as aspiration, sub flushing and tru-cut biopsies our team offer a comprehensive outpatient ultrasound service.

Anaesthesia

Our anaesthesia department manages complex anaesthetic cases to enable advanced diagnostic and surgical procedures to be performed.
Services provided within the hospital:

• Comprehensive multiparameter monitoring for all sedated and anaesthetised patients
• Advanced patient monitoring including invasive blood pressure and arterial blood gas analysis
• Locoregional anaesthetic techniques using both ultrasound and nerve location
• Mechanical ventilation and intraoperative respiratory monitoring
• Provision of perioperative analgesic and sedative infusions.
