Working hours:
Role 1:
Every other Saturday from 12:00 to 19:30 and Sunday from 08:30 to 19:30.
Plus, a fair share bank holidays.

Every Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00

Our brand-new Emergency and Critical Care service at Vets Now Cheltenham will be based at the iconic Cheltenham racecourse in a purpose-built, Tier 2 RCVS accredited practice. You’ll be joining a well-established team who already provide a vital out-of-hours service to nearly 30 local practices. With the practice having recently undergone significant equipment investment, you will have everything you need to provide the very best care to all your patients.
Understanding your key role
Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:
- First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
- Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
- Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
Key requirements
- RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
- Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
- Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
- Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
