About the Job
Head Vet Nurse – Hospital
Up to £40,000 DOE plus benefits
A work life extraordinary at Vets Now Manchester
Vets Now Manchester is a modern state of the art veterinary hospital which offers designated clinical treatment areas and delivers advanced imaging and surgery techniques on a daily basis. In addition to a busy out of hours service, we offer referral services in Surgery, Medicine and Emergency and Critical Care. Therefore, a Head Vet Nurse needs to bring experience in one of these settings, coupled with exceptional nursing care, management, training, feedback and communication skills.
Shape and build a dedicated team
The hospital is growing at a rapid pace and this role provides great scope for shaping its future. Directly managing a team of over 20 Nurses and 13 Animal Care Assistants, and being part of the senior leadership team, presents an opportunity to impact the strategic and clinical vision of the hospital. A leader who is passionate about their people and takes pride in developing their team would make an ideal addition to the already established team.
Exceptional patient care
Excellent patient care is at the centre of everything we do and, as such, our Nurses routinely carry out advanced nursing techniques in accordance with the Clinician’s direction. Experience of advanced nursing techniques is essential for success in this role and the Head Vet Nurse will be integral in building positive working relationships with the senior veterinary team.
