Marko Stejskal

RCVS, American and European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery

Marko graduated from The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at The University of Zagreb in 2000. From 2001 he continued working for the university in the faculty of surgery, orthopaedics and ophthalmology.

In 2015 Marko completed a small animal surgery residency at The University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine, USA under the mentorship of Prof. Steven C. Budsberg and became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. In 2017 he became a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons.

During the same year he became senior assistant at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and later held the position of head of clinic for surgery, orthopaedics and ophthalmology.

At time of publication, Marko is the co-author of over 35 articles in domestic and international publications, as well as three university textbooks. He joined the Vets Now 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Hospital, Glasgow in June 2019 as part of the small animal surgery team.
