An organisation run by veterinary professionals for veterinary professionals.
Our mission is to improve the lives of vets and pets. We work in partnership with daytime veterinary practices to provide emergency veterinary care for their clients at night, during weekends and on bank holidays. By partnering with Vets Now, not only can practices offer immediate access to veterinary care for their clients Out Of Hours (OOH) they can also ensure they deliver an excellent work / life balance for their own staff.
National network, local focus.
Vets Now has a national network of emergency veterinary clinics covering, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. We blend the benefits of being a national organisation with our local approach to delivering our service. Nationally, we can provide our clinics and Member Practices with continual support from our Support Office and Regional Support Team and ensure continuity of service from OOH to daytime. Locally, the Senior Team within each clinic has the autonomy to tailor aspects of the service to meet the individual needs of local veterinary clinics.
Exciting career opportunities.
Our clinics are staffed by our own permanent Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses and Receptionists who only work OOH. This ensures they are fresh and ready to treat all cases they see. We offer exciting career opportunities for veterinary professionals who wish to develop a career in Emergency and Critical Care. Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) is an exciting and relatively new discipline and so experience of working in this area is not essential. We ask for a passion for learning, a commitment to caring and the ability to adapt to a fast moving environment.
At the forefront of ECC medicine.
As an organisation, we are committed to continually improving the standards of medicine we practice; however for us it’s more than that. We want to develop the field of ECC medicine as a whole and continue to drive forward the standards. We invest heavily in the ongoing professional development of our team and also provide training opportunities to the wider profession. We host an annual two day Emergency and Critical Care Congress in Harrogate each November and we run a series of Regional Training Roadshows – all as equally suited to those working in daytime practice as those dedicated to a career in ECC.
