Vets Now is delighted to introduce our Vets Now Advisory Board, a new grouping of Member Practice representatives which has been set up to enable our Member Practices to have a greater input into the Vets Now decision making process and to allow Vets Now to establish a closer relationship with these practices.

The Advisory Board members are as follows:

Alistair Gibb, Independent Chairman

Bruce Barker, Rogers, Brock and Barker Veterinary Practice

Andrew Draper, The Oak House Veterinary Centre

Richard Harvey, The Veterinary Centre

Shane Murray, Braemar Veterinary Clinic

Claire Newton, Phoenix Veterinary Centre

Dominic Tonner, Zetland Veterinary Group

Membership of the Advisory Board is by invitation and in the future, Members will be selected by a two stage process whereby Member Practices and Vets Now staff will be invited to nominate members to the Chairman by a certain date. The final selection will be made by the Chairman and members will normally be appointed for a period of three years; however, to avoid all members retiring simultaneously and to ensure continuity, two members of the first cohort of members will retire shortly after the first and second years. They will be replaced by two members selected each year, with the two longest serving members retiring each year and two new ones appointed.

The Advisory Board will meet three or four times a year to discuss a range of topics which have been agreed in advance between the Chairman and the Company but Members will also have the opportunity to raise other relevant matters at every meeting. The Advisory Board will have its own dedicated pages on the Vets Now website which will allow our Member Practices, to read a summary of each meeting, to communicate with the Advisory Board and to nominate new members.

The Advisory Board will meet at Vets Now Congress on 10 November and the summary report of the meeting will be available on the Vets Now website soon after.

We look forward to bringing our Member Practices news and updates from the Advisory Board in the future.
